Les 50 meilleurs salons dans Nouvelle-Orléans (2024)

Hotel Monteleone is a Beaux Arts-inspired building in the French Quarter that offers plush rooms, a rooftop pool and a revolving carousel bar. It has been frequented by celebrities such as Truman Capote, Ernest Hemingway and William Faulkner. The hotel is situated in the center of the French Quarter, making it an ideal home base for exploring New Orleans in style.

We had a fantastic stay of April 2022. I have to rave on housekeeping! We have children, and the housekeepers went the extra mile helping us keep all of our things organized. They were so good to us! Hotel is beautiful. We were able to get into the famous bar in under 5 minutes. I have no complaints and will be telling friends and family there is only one place to stay in New Orleans, Hotel Monteleone!

Exceptional service in a lovely historic hotel. Everyone in our family was impressed with how friendly and helpful the entire staff is at this hotel. Even the person who cares for the pool area took time to show us points of interest from the beautiful rooftop pool/gym/bar area. The dining experience at Criollo was terrific and the Carousel bar exceeded our expectations. Even the bar staff were upbeat and friendly despite a busy Halloween weekend. Highly recommend.

We were very fortunate to stay here for a number of days. It is in the French Quarter but not on Bourbon Street. It has its own ambiance and there are real charming aspects to it. Plus, just outside are other great eating locations. Definitely would recommend this!

We came here on business and WOW. I am thoroughly impressed. The location was perfect-- close to bourbon and transit. The welcome felt 5 star and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Down pillows were a really nice touch. Also, the robes were so lovely. Twice every day, the rooms were cleaned and organized by the most detail-oriented and excellent staff. I forgot to leave a tip when I left and I still feel terrible about that because I miss them everyday lol and I could tell they put a lot of work in. I REALLY appreciated it and I hope they all get raises. I have never had better. Hats off to this place-- it's probably the best lodging I've ever experienced (and I've stayed at some extremely high rated hotels).

My husband and I are frequent travelers. I can honestly say that I have never experienced better hospitality at a hotel. The doormen were so helpful and welcoming, desk clerks and concierge were spectacular! Our room was so clean and our encounters with housekeeping were exceptional. The wait staff at the restaurant were cordial and the food was great. I cannot say anything negative at all about this hotel. I have already been recommending it to friends and we will always stay there upon return trips! Well done!!!!!

My wife and I enjoyed a night here and wished we could have spent more time in this luxury hotel. Located a block away from Bourbon street, it made for an easy visit to the French quarter. We were able to see a lot of the area for our short stay. The room was luxurious with a comfy bed and soft linen. The Carousel bar made for a perfect spot to start and end the night with tasty cocktails and live music. We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in New Orleans again.

I have always wanted to stay here and finally had the opportunity. We just checked out and our stay was so wonderful, almost magical, that I’m compelled to write a review right away. Everything was perfect. They are in the process of renovating the rooms but we had a traditional room and no complaints at all. Best of all, we met Nolan. He took care of us as if we were important folks. We’ve stayed in lots of different hotels around New Orleans, but we will always stay here going forward ❤️ ~ Todd and Sabrina Early

Hotel Monteleone is a jewel of a hotel. Ideal location for those wanting a luxurious weekend in the heart of New Orleans. Upscale without being presumptuous. Newly renovated and contains the must-do Carousel Lounge, a real treat aesthetically and boasting the birthplace of the Vieux Carré, a 1930s cocktail you've got to try!Despite all I've mentioned, there is one thing that exceeds them...or one person. Dionne Dunn is the Reservation Manager of Hotel Monteleone and is the reason compelling this review. She made the impossible possible, last minute, and with the kindness and grace few possess these days. Our situation was unique, unexpected, stressful, and most likely a headache for Ms. Dunn and her staff, but you'd never know it if you were there for the fiasco. Frankly, she would've been within her rights to huff, roll her eyes, speak tersely, or even tell us to kick rocks. Instead, she maintained her professional composure while going above and beyond to save our weekend. Ms. Dunn, if you ever read this, know that you are highly respected, greatly appreciated, and deserving of recognition. Hotel Monteleone may be the jewel of the French Quarter but you, dear lady, are the Queen. Thank you!

Gorgeous hotel. Beautiful room. Exceptional staff. The Carousel Lounge was so-so and we didn't have room service so can't speak to the food. It's a street over from Bourbon St but we had a room facing Royal St and slept undisturbed.

Superb location. I gave myself a birthday one night stay in one of their full soak bathtub rooms. Everything I could've asked for. Room service was quick and friendly. Food was delicious. Bed was comfortable and clean.

Gloria C — Google review

We enjoyed this hotel. The room is a bit tight --but overall it is clean. The size is small --but otherwise lovely room. The bar is so fun! The service was almost a five--they made an error with breakfast and gave us a complementary breakfast. That is not the reason for the 4 star. The reason is because the people at the desk sometimes called me Dr. Searcy--as a Black woman doctor it is important to be addressed by your proper name. This is concerning at Black women are often not addressed properly. They can SEE my name when they talk with me because they are clearly looking at a screen. I was called Dr. sometimes. So this that is the reason for the 4 stars. Please work to ensure you call a person by the correct name and if you make a mistake just apologize. No one is perfect --but with my name clearly in front of you there should not be an error

Stayed here three times over the last five years. Impeccable service starting at the parking garage, getting our luggage up to our room. Nolan, you are the man! Our suite was very nice. Definitely family friendly. Whether you’re staying here for a family vacation or bachelor party just talk to the doorman he knows what’s up and has a pulse on the city! Location is definitely at the front gate of the city for whatever activity you may want to do. The service at the carousel lounge was definitely top-notch and accommodating as well. Security is ever present.

Henry R — Google review

We like this hotel. The Quarter has completely devolved into chaos, disorder, and crime. You are not safe any longer here. . You will get nice service and if you stay in the Iberville Towers which have been renovated it is quite nice. But do beware of the spurious offers you will get to “upgrade”. I did it this time mainly for the one thing listed as “early admission to the Carousel Bar”. Which after we arrived we found still requires a reservation and is $100 a person. You get no discount just the great honor of paying $100 a person to learn what you could just going in and having a drink. This is not a perk. It is a complete sham and false and at least very deceiving advertisement. So beware. This place is nice but they will do their best to screw you too. Sad. The pandemic didn’t kill it but poor management and city leadership has made sure it is worse than ever

Just done 4 nights stay. Roof top pool is super, enjoyed it every morning, water nice and warm, very clean. The fitness room is pretty good too. Quality of bed, and beddings are all first class. The comfort level is critical to me. This hotel looks and feels very classical and historical. The location is as good and convenient as it can get, basically close to everywhere I wanted to go, all the good restaurants and bars in French Quarter. Even the bar inside the hotel is very nicely set up. All in all, Basically nothing bad worth to say about this hotel.

I really wanted to write a raving review because I love this hotel and have always enjoyed the carousel bar every time I’m in NOLA. My issue is with the lights in the room. There should absolutely under no circumstances be a light in a hotel room that you can’t turn off. This room has several which caused me the worst nights sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel. I’ll start with the bed that has motion sensor lights all around the base. My husband and I tried our best not to move a muscle but the sensor was going off all night long regardless of if we moved or not! The bathroom has a light around the mirror that has no off switch. It is very bright since the door to the bathroom has a frosted window. And finally, there is a blue motion sensor light on the ceiling which I was told by the staff is connected to the AC so you can’t cover it or the AC will not turn on in the room. It’s fine to have a motion sensor for the AC but why on God’s green earth does it need to have a blue light!? This was going on and off all night long. Considering this is a luxury hotel, this lack of sleep should be taken seriously by the staff. I politely told the man at the front desk who said they would send someone up to cover the motion sensors on the bed and that they would have housekeeping leave a sleep mask in the room. We went out for the day and returned to the room which still had the lights on the bed and no eye mask. We went back to the front desk and this time they did send someone up to cover the bed motion sensors with tape. After searching the front desk and calling housekeeping, they told us that they were completely out of eye masks and we were welcome to go to the drugstore nearby and get an eye mask. So clearly this is a known issue to the point that all the eye masks are used up. I would have expected in a hotel with this reputation, they would go out of their way to assist a guest. They should have offered to go get the eye mask. This really disappointed me and made me feel as though they didn’t appreciate the lack of sleep I suffered from due to their lights in the room. I really wish I could say I would stay here again but unless they fix the light situation, I’ll only return for cocktails at the carousel bar.

If I could give this place 100 stars I would. I've stayed all over the world in some of the finest hotels, this one tops the list! From the moment you walk in you feel like royalty from the beauty of the hotel itself and the exceptional staff you'll never want to check out. The suite we had was beautiful and housekeeping was impeccable. Management was superb and even when I thought there was an issue which was my mistake and not theirs they went out of their way to ensure I was satisfied. I would definitely come back here and stay every time! The carousel bar was just so much fun and the food was delicious! If you haven't stayed here you are missing out on one of the finest experiences you may ever have!

Staying at Hotel Monteleone in room 1544 (a suite with 1.5 baths) has been a wonderful experience for my family. The suite was super comfortable, beautifully decorated, and spacious enough for both our kids and us to enjoy. We stayed in the newer tower, and the room was immaculate. The service has been exceptional throughout our stay, which is something we especially appreciate with two young children. The staff goes above and beyond, remembering names and ensuring we have everything we need. The hotel is incredibly kid-friendly, with a rooftop pool that the kids loved, although seating can be limited at times. Our stay earlier in the week was fantastic, and the hotel offered cute photo ops for the kids. However, some of the charm was lost when two large conferences took over on Friday and Saturday, making parts of the hotel inaccessible to regular guests and removing the photo station.Overall, the property is safe, well-located, and family-friendly. I would definitely recommend it, especially if you're staying during the week when it feels more intimate and charming.

Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking any stay. They compare thousands of hotel sites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This place is one of the best in the area. I've been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely will love it I'm sure!Great experience! Staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Criollo has exceptional food. The location was convenient with plenty of shopping, dining and attractions within a short walk. Will definitely stay again.

Don't forget to use Hoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a hotel. This web site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of my favorites in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you stay for a few days you won't be let down.Great experience. Great location. Quiet. Clean. Very friendly staff. Special thanks to Cedric at the front door. He went out of his way twice to make sure we had a great stay. Of the many great 5 star hotels we’ve been throughout the world, he stands out among the very best.

Had a wonderful two nights there. Room was clean and well appointed when we arrived. When the staff cleaned they did an amazing job, even folded our clothes and wrapped up our phone charges. The door men were super friendly as was the front desk staff and the people that brought our room service.Cannot recommend enough.

The Best Hotel in New Orleans. Top notch service and amazing friendly staff. The hotel is gorgeous throughout. Our room was beautiful and the history behind the hotel is amazing as well. We have found our new favorite landmark in New Orleans. The famous Carousel lounge is in the lobby as well.

Alan P — Google review

The most beautiful and historic hotel. The room and gorgeous and have amazing lighting. The shower is a dream with the water pressure that makes you feel like your in a waterfall. The carousel bar doesn't disappear. You have to try a bourbon old fashioned and sazerac.

Danette G — Google review

Amazing hotel experience - great rooftop pool/bar. Only knock could be the carousel bar is always packed and you can never get a seat, but thats not the hotels fault - Just shows how popular the place is. Great food/drinks in the bar - Friendly, helpful staff - Will absolutory stay here again

J N — Google review

If the French Quarter is your game the location is great. The hotel is OK, but definitely not great. They nickel and dime you at the hotel and the restaurant which is irritating. The biggest problem is the motion activated sensor in the rooms. If you turn over in bed or get up an obnoxious blue light comes on. If the movement continues lights come on around the bed that light up the room and wake up anyone who is sleeping. It is without question the most obnoxious thing I have ever encountered at a hotel. It completely screws up your sleep. We won’t be coming back

Jim Q — Google review

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms are so comfortable- I have a bad back and I had no back or hip problems after sleeping in the very comfortable bed! The hotel is safe, very clean, comfortable, beautiful, and the location is perfect for getting around the French quarter. Bourbon street is one block away. You won’t hear any noise from the partying as the hotel blocks it all once you’re inside. There is a beautiful rooftop pool that has a bar, a really nice gym that is surrounded by glass walls so you have a great view while working out and a world famous carousel bar! Get there early (opens at 11am) as there is always a line way before opening and there are only 25 seats at the bar. But there are other seating options on that bar, but you will want to sit at the carousel! The service from the staff is exceptional. They are happy to assist you with anything you may need. They’ll refill your complimentary waters in your room and bring it to you on a silver platter! The little details in this hotel is what will make me come back and say this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at!

This hotel is definitely one not to miss. I read the reviews before booking on Expedia and our stay was better than the best review. The staff was accommodating and welcoming. The hotel was spotless. The maid service was spot on. The location is perfect for a New Orleans location. Bourbon Street was right there yet the hotel was amazingly quiet. I am a pretty discerning person and I was completely impressed. I will be back to New Orleans and this will be the hotel of choice. Thank you. I work hard and I really needed this experience at this point in my life.

Laureen M — Google review

This hotel was one of the most well maintained, tradional and surprising places I have stayed at! The staff were impeccable, pleasing and knowledgeable! An old world treat for sure, it's clean, quiet and accommodating! Love and highly recommend it! 5 stars!

Gail G — Google review

One of the best hotels I ever stayed in my life. Right in the middle of french quarter. Amazing service, like you are in a 70s movie. Beautiful hotel and room. Very comfortable bed. Staff was absolutely top notch. Terrace pool was cool with great views. Parking fee being $50 a night was the only (huge) downside, but being New Orleans might as well just pay and keep your car safe.

David B — Google review

Stayed with my kids in the Ibiza Tower, great room, very comfortable with an amazing shower. Staff were all great, room was incredibly quiet, roomservice was spot on. Great location near everything. Earl Perkins-Valet was also great, been at the hotel for 57 years! Only knock on the hotel is the bathroom door headroom is shorter going in the bathroom than on the inside coming out. I'm 6'7 and banged my head several times b/c of this. Also, I kept hitting my head on the light hanging between the two beds. The room is great but I think it was designed by someone well under 6 feet. Pics outside and inside bathroom door

C G — Google review

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Every part of staying here was unmatched and outstanding. The rooms are impeccably clean, the linens were crisp, beds are comfy and the service makes you feel like Royalty. We will not stay anywhere else in NOLA. Highly Recommend!

This hotel is awesome! All the staff truly have the Southern hospitality. The doormen open the doors, help with your luggage, and have wonderful conversations with the guests. The restaurant is a great place to eat. The servers, as well as the rest of the staff, call guests by their names, are very attentive, and show each customer they truly care.

Nancy K — Google review

A beautiful old school New Orleans hotel with a wonderful restaurant and a bar tourists like to visit. I love the pink of it all. The spa has most services you find in the best places and though the massage is good it is not athletic.. This is a soothing not a recuperative spa.

Rickie J — Google review

This is a beautiful, historic hotel located within walking distance of everything in the French Quarter. The rooms are updated and comfortable. The famous Carousel Bar is located inside the hotel and it is really cool. Staff was friendly, courteous and accommodating. The hotel was easily accessible, provided valet parking and was reasonably priced. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to New Orleans.

Cathy R — Google review

Aside from feeling like I was staying in a fancy 100 sq ft studio/tin box, we were overall happy with the room. But beware - there's a reason the hotel doesn't list the square footage of the traditional or preferred rooms (but they do for the royal and superior rooms) on their website. The standard rooms are TINY. Like, probably one of the smallest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. It made me feel a little claustrophobic.Otherwise, the hotel staff were friendly and it was great having the carousel bar right below us. The hotel was perfectly located - just a few blocks from Bourbon Street and the river.

Megan B — Google review

My favorite place to stay in Nola. It’s on Royal, so you’re close to the action but still able to get a break from it. The hotel itself is beautiful. You’ll be transported to another time, still luxurious. The restaurant is delicious and the bars and music in the hotel are always lively and fun. In a grownup way.

My absolutely favourite hotel during our 8 days and 4 hotel stay in the deep south. We stayed 2 nights at this hotel, and were part of a 48 person tour group all staying and travelling together. Hotel staff were courteous and efficient and I enjoyed my interactions with them. When our group arrived after a long journey from Buffalo, we were greeted with cookies and lemonade in a private room. The hotel is gorgeous and I took lots of photos. Lots of pieces of historical artifacts and beautiful decor. Our room was amazing, we had a king bed, beautiful colours, very comfortable and we enjoyed the smart lighting. The location is perfect, with a short walk to Bourbon Street and lots of places to check out. Lots of food and music options nearby, a really nice vibe!We had 2 breakfasts included in our package, which I heard were very expensive. The food was tasty, plentiful and came out in good time. The room was equipped with several toiletries, which was appreciated.I would highly recommend this hotel based on the historic vibe, location, decor, comfort and service, great job to all!!!

2 housekeeping services per day!! What? No one does that since COVID! This hotel is exceptionally beautiful and tastefully decorated. My only issue was the one person I asked, what the color of the paint in the room was, didn’t know. ( it’s so perfect I wanted to use it myself) If that’s my biggest problem, I don’t have any problems

One of my most memorable stays in The French Quarter. Must visit Criollo restaurant for the Le Petit Chef experience. Got to try the carousel, the service and room were great. Would recommend and come back. The rooftop was perfectly refreshing in the July humid heat. Here's a tip, get it to go cup from the hotel bar and when you take it to the pool you can bring your own beverages. Otherwise you can only buy $20 drinks from the bar there.

P M — Google review

Perfect location if you want to be near Bourbon St., without staying on Bourbon St. We stayed here to check off the Carousel bar from our bucket list. Service was fantastic. The room was beautiful. Getting a seat at the bar is tricky, you may have to hang around and wait for someone to leave. We got lucky and walked up to 2 empty seats which was amazing. Drinks were tasty and we had crab beignets at the bar . They were super. Later that night we had gooey butter cakes from room service. AMAZING.

K K — Google review

Great hotel with old world charm. Clean tastefully decorated rooms. The Carousel Bar is lively and packed at all hours. The location in the French Quarter is convenient and a pleasant stroll to the many cool shops and eateries in the area. A couple of blocks to Bourbon Street, so easy to take the obligatory peak, but located far enough away to be a safe haven when you tire of the madness. Great choice to explore NOLA.

This is a beautiful hotel, directly in the middle of it all. The rooms are perfectly cozy and very clean. Every single person that we met working in the hotel was friendly and welcoming. Nights were amazingly quiet to be in the midst of all the fun.Editing to add: I posted this and went to bed. Little did we know the fire alarms for floor 14 and 15 would go off at midnight and 4:30 am causing everyone to evacuate via 14+ stories of stairs 2x in the middle of the night. With no explanation except "false alarm". Resulting in very little sleep and very angry guests.

Love this hotel. Customer service is OUTSTANDING! If there was an issue they jumped right on it. Great location. They acknowledged my husband’s birthday without any hassle. It was like everyone knew it was his bday. Shout out to all of the folks we had the pleasure of speaking with, great bunch of folks

I could not say enough good things about Hotel Monteleone. We have traveled to many hotels and this one takes the cake. Not only were we able to check in super early, but the concierge upgraded us to a suite for no charge, as we were celebrating our engagement, anniversary, and birthday! The cleaning service was absolutely pristine, the rooms were quiet and stayed cool, the shampoos/conditioners offered were actually usable(!), and we slept in one of the comfiest beds we have ever experienced. There was live jazz in the hotel lounge and even an extra concierge available to help us schedule tours and learn about the city. The pool and rooftop bar were super fun and a great way to cool off after a long day of walking. If that wasn't enough, we purchased a wine glass from the hotel gift shop which unfortunately shattered at the airport (which broke my heart!). The hotel and gift shop suppliers went above and beyond to replace it for us and even sent an additional glass and a gorgeous book about the hotel. If you are traveling to New Orleans, stay at Hotel Monteleone! You won't regret it. We can't wait to return in the future.

I cannot rave about this hotel enough!! From Chris who checked us in to King the super helpful bellhop! I am so upset I forgot the name of the gentleman in luggage storage to include in this review! The absolute best customer service experience I have ever had. I kept saying I want to work here it was so good! I have traveled a lot in my life even internationally quite a few times and nobody can beat this place!! I found out that this place is still family owned! Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money so that you can experience this kind of customer service once in your life! The rooms are beautiful, parking convenient, location superb.

5 star service here at this hotel from when you arrive until you leave. Hats off to the crew who run this place! Everyone from the maids to the doorman takes great care of all their guests. Now I know why everyone talks about this place. I definitely plan to come back. And when you stay here you are within walking distance from just about everything here in the French Quarter!

Absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Monteleone. Had no idea there is a history of it being haunted. First time in New Orleans, couldn't have had a better place to stay with it being my first time. We had a newer room on the side that was apparently not "haunted". Some friends stayed in the other side where it is supposedly haunted but nothing to report! The turn down service in the rooms is by far the best I've ever experienced. Staff was tremendous! The shops nearby right out the front door where fun to go to during the day. However, be warned at night, do not go alone walking. Definitely a high party area and was warned by not only locals but hotel staff to not walk alone. Loved the carousel bar, such a fun place and their live music at night was great.

We had an amazing long weekend at Hotel Monteleone from Thursday to Monday. Our stay was exceptionally enjoyable, from the doorman to the housekeeping service. We stayed in the updated, renovated side, and our room was stunning and spacious. The bed was incredibly comfortable. While the shower setup wasn't ideal, it was a minor issue. The rooftop pool was absolutely fantastic, and the gym was a fantastic addition. The Carousel Bar was an incredible experience with live bands providing great entertainment. The hotel's location is perfect, and we were able to walk everywhere and have an amazing time. However, the parking was a bit expensive for hotel guests. We've stayed at other hotels where parking was included or not as expensive. Thank you!

Beautiful hotel in the heart of New Orleans. I attended a conference at the hotel and stayed onsite. When we arrived check in was very quick and everyone was very nice. The restaurant was not open but we went to the carrousel bar and had some delicious food and drinks. The hotel has so much character the rooms are very clean and the beds were very comfortable.

The Monteleone will always hold a special place in my heart since this was our hotel the weekend of our wedding. We got an excellent group rate for our guests and they did a wonderful job treating my husband and I, as well as our family, like we were royalty. It made the weekend so special.Since then we have been back for a visit and the service is unrivaled. From the doormen to room service, everyone has been so lovely and accommodating. The rooms are a very old world feel, so if you’re okay with missing out on newer amenities, this is a great place to stay. It’s still very comfortable and clean, but just has that over the top vibe. And the beds are so comfortable! The location is great. The Quarter can be a lot, but Royal St is calm and there aren’t any attractions on this block that would draw a rowdy crowd, so it’s not loud. In fact I’ve never heard any noise at all in my two stays. It’s truly a reprieve from the Quarter.I would highly recommend this hotel and cannot wait for my next stay.

Location is amazing! Incredibly convenient. Hotel is older with very limited space in the lobby. A lot of wear and tear in this place.Bar is typically packed. Cocktails pretty on par but expensive. Bar area is a scene for sure. But the rooms are tired. Amenities very basic.

I stopped at one of the ticket sellers on my way into town and got this for 6 nights that were like heaven on earth. The people were great. The guys working on repairs were so customer service oriented along with getting repairs done all with a pleasant attitude. Loved my own balcony in my room, was able to sit outside and read with a nice breeze. Heaven

The Hotel Monteleone, a NOLA classic. And a must see. If you miss it you haven’t done NOLA right. Best location in the French Quarter on Royal Street, where else. Having been here since 1886, it’s got all the history New Orleans is famous for (including ghosts). A recent renovation has time hopped it straight into the 21st century. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The lobby is old school cool and a true social hub. Weddings, brass bands, parties you never know who or what you’re gonna see. The restaurant, Criollo offers inventive cuisine with a NOLA twist. And the Carousel bar, actually it’s a lounge with seating you can sink into; really has a carousel. A circular bar that slowly rotates patrons around the bar keeps. Only in NOLA y’all. Come for a drink, for a week or for a lifetime 🎠

My wife and I decided to spend a long weekend in New Orleans and stayed at the Hotel Monteleone. What a wonderful and relaxing few days we had. Our room was in the Iberville Tower and was very spacious and well appointed. Each evening the towels were changed out, bed was turned down, bathrobes laid out and chocolates on our pillows. Very special to come back to the room and see. Each time we came back to the hotel we were welcomed at the door and were greeted with a smile by each staff member we saw. The carousel bar is famous and a must visit…if you’re fortunate enough to find an open seat but if not, head to the other nearby bar and they’ll take good care of you. Clearly the hotel is determined to have their guests feel welcome. When we come back to visit New Orleans again, Hotel Monteleone is where we’ll stay.

One of New Orleans' finest hotels, had the most amazing experience here! I am a huge Tennessee Williams, Truman Capote, and William Faulkner fan, so the opportunity to stay in a hotel where they frequented was incredible. The room I stayed in was gorgeous, the Criollo breakfast was magnificent, and the Carousel Bar was so whimsical! The service was also top-notch. Definitely going to become a regular spot to stay in.
